He spent three years guiding active adventure tours for Trek America that included sports like mountain biking, whitewater rafting, sky diving, and wakeboarding. After Trek he worked for the Coronado Recreation Department in San Diego California. There he organized the teen division, helping to program after school and summer camps including a very popular "Surf Safari." At Present he and his partner in business and life, Amy, live and play in Lake Tahoe California.
Over the years he has developed a passion and skills in skateboarding, surfing, and snowboarding. "I really enjoy the challenge of snowboarding. There is something about going that fast and learning to control it that is a great thrill. Skateboarding is much more technical but pulling off a huge trick going mach-ten on a snowboard is heaven."
He spends his off-board-time playing bass and hanging with Amy Purdy. He say's about her "She's my best friend and she's a girl, it's great (he giggles). No, really Adaptive Action Sports has just brought us so much closer and we can't wait for the future, it just gets better and better. She keeps me humble as well. With everything she's been through it makes me realize how lucky I am just to be living and enjoying life with her."
